The biggest takeaway for me from working with Adelaide is that you really can implement big changes quickly, it’s definitely not easy, it’s also not hard sometimes…

But if you’re prepared to do the work and keep coming back even when you slip into difficult patterns or think this isn’t working…

Adelaide has this great ability to bring you back on track and remind you it’s a learning process. It’s journey. The progress is there.

I’ve really enjoyed the support Adelaide has given me, I’ve been able to build trust with her, she’s very eloquent, intelligent, deliver complex things in really easy to understand ways and clearly knows her stuff
— Squash Falconer - keynote speaker, adventurer and world record holder

Adelaide helped me grab my goals with both hands, racing extreme endurance events and building my business. Articulating my values, refining goals and outcomes made 2022 one of my defining years. I turned to Adelaide again this year when seeking assistance in determining a big scary goal for work and play as I turn 60. I pull on the skills I learnt most days.
— Denise Wilson, Director and Endurance Adventure Athlete

I wanted to understand how I could become the best ultra endurance canoe racer possible.

I had lots of different parts of my paddling sport that I wanted to be better at, especially an unstoppable race mindset for the 715KM Yukon River Quest race.

I had done the race before and I wasn’t good enough. I was unsatisfied and unhappy with my performance and I knew there were things that I was doing that was letting me down. I just didn’t know what they were and how to fix it.

My brain needs to work. I’m quite introspective and your coaching gave me the opportunity to really think into who I am and what I’m doing, which I hadn’t really done before.

Sometimes it felt awesome, and then other times it just felt as if I was never quite getting my grip on the thing I wanted to be.

It was pretty exciting because I never quite knew what I was going to experience in our coaching sessions and because I wanted to change so much, I was open to whatever that change would be.

It felt as if they were things that were there that just got uncovered. Some of it was new, but the other bit was like that just makes perfect sense and now I can do that.

It was almost like you just opened the door and then I’d go away and walk through it, and then I’d found another door to walk through and then I walk through that one too.

I definitely know myself a lot better now and I took the Yukon River Quest women’s record by 5 hours, which gave me a time of 51 1/2 hours.

It was in one of the most testing conditions a race could happen in and there’s no way I could have achieved that without my mind being way stronger than the rest of me - and it was.

When I look back on it, it’s obvious that this is the sort of training someone who wants to achieve something should do. If I’m going to spend 18 hours training my body, I may as well spend half of that training my mind at the same time. Like you can do both, there’s no quibble, you should just do it.
— Esther Wheeler, Knowledge and Skills Leader, and Endurance Paddler

Last year I was at a point where I felt that my training had plateaued, that I wasn’t seeing any further results despite training every day and doing everything according to plan.

So after I met Adelaide, I thought that the next big thing, and actually should have been the first to be honest, is my mindset.

So speaking with her, I learned some techniques to how I should change the way I talk to myself, the way I set goals and the way I structure my mind in general.

She will teach you very simple and useful techniques.

I can speak for some results for myself that for example, I improved 30 minutes in my 70.3 time, I broke every other PR that I had on my list despite being years older and more importantly in my life, I felt more confident I I had a new job.
— Ives, Financial Director and Triathlete

Archery is a very mental game and I was struggling keeping focus, doing the right things.

Adelaide taught me to keep things simple and easy, what things to stop and how to focus and do the right tasks.

I think through everything and learn more about what I’m doing and how.

I am more relaxed when shooting and have tools to handle stuff better. In competitions for example, it’s simpler to do things now than it was before.

You will learn about yourself and how you should do things.

Here’s the thing: We’re all told that mental change is hard work. That it takes time. That we have to will our brain into doing what we want it to do; to achieve the results we want to achieve. That it may take weeks, months, or years to make those mindset changes happen. As it turns out, that just isn’t true. The brain is incredibly nimble (it’s called neuroplasticity), and Adelaide is the coach that guides you through the reshaping of your beliefs, convictions, and identity constructs, and makes real change happen on. the. spot. Not in weeks, months, or years. In a couple of freaking hours.

In just three session with her, we solved three life-long challenges of mine: My relationship with food, my body image, and my inherent fear of the worst case scenario, in life and in business. If you’d like change now, and not invest thousands in a lengthy process where you have to battle with yourself (spoiler: this doesn’t actually work), you need to invest in this woman. She’s really, reaaaally good at what she does, and whether you need performance-enhancing or life-enhancing guidance, Adelaide’s your gal. Just do it.

Since working with her I’ve completely changed my relationship with food, with my body, and with my self-doubt. I’ve started running again. I’ve started eating healthy again. And it doesn’t feel like hard work - at all - cause all Adelaide’s done is help me mould my mind to help me achieve what I want to achieve.
— Synne Lindén, Business owner

The struggle I had was keeping energy levels and positivity up. My team needed an uplift, build up their confidence and reinvigorate the feeling of being a team. Adelaide understood how we could apply the athlete mindset to our business to solve our challenges. Adelaide trained me on being Champion and a Champion team brilliantly! She’s also helped me walk away with word titles and records!”
— Aneela Rose, MD at Rose Media Group | British & World Powerlifting Champion & Record Holder 2019

Adelaide has helped me find a better balance between family, work and triathlon. I’ve seen progress in managing stress in life and ensuring focus on the right task at the right time. Adelaide’s coaching has helped me focus on a growth mindset in both sport and life.
— Successful amateur triathlete and team leader within the military

Working with Adelaide helped me to define the key aspects of my current work role, allowed me to fully focus on these areas enabled me to become more productive and efficient in my day to day job and freed time to focus on my personal development. Reframing my thinking and the way I speak to myself about key aspects of my personal and professional life has allowed me to achieve my goals and feel much more fulfilled. I still regularly use the tools I have learnt that have now become invaluable to me.
— Scientist, CrossFitter and adventurer

I have learned an awful lot from Adelaide, especially around how I was essentially self sabotaging myself, telling myself things which weren’t ever going to enhance my performance and almost derailing myself.

I’ve managed to put a stop to the majority of that kind of negative self talk.

I’ve also worked with Adelaide to set performance goals in my career, sport and relationships.

We have looked at how I want to live my life on on a day-to-day basis and created a vision for that.

I have come away feeling a lot more happy and confident in what I’m doing, finding it easier to make decisions about what I want to do and what comes next for me.

I’m feeling and living my life being happier, healthier and more consistent in my daily habits.
— Cat Hine, University Lecturer and Athlete

We triathletes know that we can train our muscles, our heart, lungs, gut, work economy, swim, bike and run technique.

The better and more structured training, the better the result will be. Why should we treat our brain differently?

At every race I reach a point where the physical fatigue is so high, that I question why I force myself through the pain and continue pushing.

It is at these critical moments, that it’s important to have your mental game plan ready. Why should you continue to push through? What mindset techniques work best to unlock your full potential?

Together with Adelaide Goodeve, I’ve tried an arsenal of mindset techniques. Some had small effect others moderate, a few however, made a really big gain. And those are the ones we continue to refine and improve.

If you do find yourself with a feeling of not being able to fulfil your potential, then get in touch with Adelaide and see if she can help you out.
— Allan Hovda, Pro Norwegian Triathlete and three times winner of the Zalaris Norseman Xtreme Triathlon

I’ve been working with Coach Adelaide for about a year and a half now. It’s been an awesome experience and it’s helped a lot with my mental strength going into competitions.

The two biggest things that have helped the most have been when I’m feeling nervous, Adelaide has taught me how to anchor a calming feeling to the colour blue. So I find the colour blue before and during competitions, and it helps me really calm down.

When I have negative self talk, Adelaide has taught me a way to lock it away in this trunk and forget about it.
These have been two humongous things that have helped so much with my competitions!
— Brittany Davis, USA Paraclimber

I started working with Adelaide just two weeks before the national championships. We’ve been working together for 6 months since then and I’ve been experienced a huge transformation. Coming to the world championships I feel very prepared. Going into each climb, the nerves are very difficult.

When I was climbing at nationals, I was nervous and didn’t really feel like I was climbing my best. However, with all of the tips that she’s given me, I’ve really been able to perform at my best at world’s and definitely very appreciative for all of the coaching and advice that she’s provided.

One of the things that we talk about a lot in climbing, is that it’s equal parts, technique, rank and mental. Technique and strength are easy to train for, but the mental aspect isn’t so much and with Adelaide’s help it’s really given me the tools that I need to develop that aspect of my climbing, so I can’t recommend her highly enough. It’s very beneficial.
— Steve Hinson, USA Paraclimber

I think I had such an amazing mental experience during worlds [Adaptive Climbing World Championships] due to the work I had done with Adelaide.
— Whitney P., finished 2nd in the 2018 Paraclimbing World Championships
