The 90-Day Performance Leap, Built On Sport Psychology
The Exact mental training system elite athletes have relied on to break records and place in the top 10 at World Championships.
Hand-picked by the most ambitious performers:
You've put in the training. But something's still holding your performance back:
Nerves take over right when it matters most
You plateau despite doing everything "right" in training
Self-doubt creeps in before the start line
You beat yourself up even when you win or performing well in training
You’re struggling with team dynamics
A finely tuned physique can't outthink an opponent or tough competition conditions.
Yet most athletes spend far more time building muscle, speed and endurance than training the cognitive instructions and decision-making that actually decide who wins.
You may win the battle of conditioning, but lose the war in the competition.
For decades, it was assumed athletes hit their limit when their body simply couldn't produce more power.
But studies show something different:
The cardinal performance stopper isn't your muscle, it's your perception of effort (PE).
This is because PE, how hard something feels, is generated centrally in the brain, not by signals from your muscles, heart or lungs.
One study found that even with zero physical sensation, PE still rose and performance still dropped. The brain was doing the limiting, not the body.
That's why two athletes with identical fitness levels can have wildly different results on the same day.
The one who trains their mind to interpret effort differently; who stays calm, focused and resilient under fatigue and pressure, will consistently outlast and outperform the one who hasn't.
CLIENT: ALLAN HOVDA
I know firsthand how powerful the brain can be.
I was Bedridden. Housebound. For years.
A top London doctor eventually diagnosed me with severe chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS/ME) and told me:
“Your life is going to get worse. There is no cure.”
I refused to accept that.
So I attacked the problem head-on and tried every treatment, every specialist. Followed the advice from influencers and coaches.
Nothing changed.
Until I found a brain training approach based on neuroscience and psychology.
The idea was simple: your brain is like a muscle.
The neuropathways you use the most get stronger, faster and become your default. And just like muscles, the ones you don’t use, get weaker and harder to use.
I finally understood that my brain was stuck running the same negative loop on repeat: "I'm so tired".
That thought triggered exhaustion and pain, which triggered more "I'm so tired" thoughts. Round and round I went. Trapped.
I learned how to interrupt that pattern and rebuild my neuropathways.
The results were fast. From barely functioning to CrossFit, hiking Everest Basecamp, to standing on an Ironman podium. I thought I was cured.
But the old patterns crept back. I realised I’d put duct tape on a leaking pipe. Not a permanent fix.
So I went deeper.
I studied how beliefs, identity, nervous system state, self-talk, and trauma shape performance, happiness and health.
My MSc Sport Performance Psychology showed me how to refine, optimise and personalise performance.
I learned how to create change that actually holds, even when life gets messy, pressured, or uncertain.
I ripped the duct tape off and fixed that leaking pipe permanently.
I know you're not chronically fatigued. You’re a highly ambitious athlete with a finely tuned body.
But you're likely running your own versions of the negative loop I was stuck in.
An automatic default that's kept you successful, but limited. Performing, but never quite achieving your potential.
Here’s how my coaching has worked for my athletes:
→ Pro triathlete Allan Hovda broke the Norwegian Ironman course record by over 5 minutes, and placed 2nd at the XTRI World Championships
→ US Paraclimber Brittany Davis climbed from 10th to 6th in the world in under 10 months
→ US Paraclimber Whitney Pesek placed 2nd at the Paraclimbing World Championships
→ British & World Powerlifting Champion Aneela Rose walked away with a world title after a pre-competition mindset session the night before
I can help you build the foundation for these kind of results in my 90-day 1:1 coaching program.
Together, we’ll look at exactly where you want to be in 12 months from now.
We'll identify the mental patterns holding you back — the ones costing you seconds, places, and podiums.
Using sport psychology personality surveys used by the Premier Football Academy, we'll build a custom mental training plan to close the gap between where you are now and your best possible performance.
This isn't about training harder. Pushing through more reps. Grinding longer.
It’s about stopping the cycle of always feeling you didn’t give it everything. And missing opportunities you deserve.
It's about training the part of you that decides whether all that physical training actually shows up on race day.
So you can perform at your highest level when it counts
Stay calm, focused and confident under pressure
And walk away knowing you left everything out on the competition
You'll become the athlete who's mentally as sharp as they are physically prepared.
The one who competes at their best, every time – and is proud of their performance.
Which is why my clients call me their “guiding north star”.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Even elite athletes have blind spots. Physical preparation alone doesn't guarantee you perform at your best on competition day.
Sport psychology research shows how instrumental the brain is for high performance.
For example, through perception of effort the brain, not the body, limits your performance. Which is why two equally fit athletes can perform completely differently on the same day.
Coaching closes that gap, so your mental training matches the level of your physical training. -
Absolutely. This is bespoke coaching designed to match your calendar.
-
Career leaps. Pay raises. Inner peace. Record-breaking performance. Life-changing mindset shifts. Whether it's landing the CEO role, quitting burnout, or finally making success feel good, the results aren’t just external, they’re transformative at every level.
-
This isn't just an expense, it's a power move.
Athletes often see the return within a single season: a broken plateau, a course record, a World Championship placement, or consistently producing performances they’re finally proud of.
But the real ROI? Stepping to the start line knowing your mind is as prepared as your body. No more leaving performances on the table because nerves, doubt, or fatigue got there first.
-
With this tailored mental strategy, you’ll redefine what's possible for yourself.
While physical prowess is key, high performance starts between your ears.
I’ll help you hone your mindset to push past your limits, stay laser-focused under pressure, and bounce back faster than ever.
You’ll crush your performance goals and leave your competitors in the dust, with a level of mental clarity and resilience that will make them wonder what you’ve been drinking. (It’s the mindset, darling, not the Red Bull). -
Grinding out a hard session builds toughness, to a degree, but it doesn't train the specific mental skills you need under real competition pressure: nerves, a competitor in your head, a race going off-plan.
Perception of effort is generated in the brain, not the body, so pushing through training alone doesn't prepare you for what actually derails performance on race day. This does.

What Clients Say
“I have learned an awful lot from Adelaide, especially around how I was essentially self sabotaging myself, telling myself things which weren’t ever going to enhance my performance and almost derailing myself.
I’ve managed to put a stop to the majority of that kind of negative self talk.
I’ve also worked with Adelaide to set performance goals in my career, sport and relationships.
We have looked at how I want to live my life on on a day-to-day basis and created a vision for that.
I have come away feeling a lot more happy and confident in what I’m doing, finding it easier to make decisions about what I want to do and what comes next for me.
I’m feeling and living my life being happier, healthier and more consistent in my daily habits.”
“Last year I was at a point where I felt that my training had plateaued, that I wasn’t seeing any further results despite training every day and doing everything according to plan.
So after I met Adelaide, I thought that the next big thing, and actually should have been the first to be honest, is my mindset.
So speaking with her, I learned some techniques to how I should change the way I talk to myself, the way I set goals and the way I structure my mind in general.
She will teach you very simple and useful techniques.
I can speak for some results for myself that for example, I improved 30 minutes in my 70.3 time, I broke every other PR that I had on my list despite being years older and more importantly in my life, I felt more confident I had a new job.”
“Archery is a very mental game and I was struggling keeping focus, doing the right things.
Adelaide taught me to keep things simple and easy, what things to stop and how to focus and do the right tasks.
I think through everything and learn more about what I’m doing and how.
I am more relaxed when shooting and have tools to handle stuff better. In competitions for example, it’s simpler to do things now than it was before.
You will learn about yourself and how you should do things.”
